Vintage Charm: Explore The Old Telephone Exchange

The brief

This exclusive house set in a remote and picturesque location was brought to us by owners looking for an extra bedroom and an expanded ground floor living space. This was a much-loved home, and we wanted to retain its distinctive character whilst providing a clean and modern design.

The concept

We proposed a single-storey rear extension in a Neo-Georgian style, accentuating the unique aesthetic of the existing property, with a flat roof lantern and tall arched windows in the style of a classic orangery. Further to this, we converted the roof space into a large master bedroom suite with light streaming through the windows and ample additional storage space.
